Appen bought out Raterlabs so they're sort of the same company. But Appen proper offers different jobs than Raterlabs and you can't work for both at the same time. As far as I know you can apply for both, and I definitely would because wait time can be months, but you'll have to pick which one you'd prefer if both offer you projects.

No one is making $13.50 at Raterlabs. That's what all non-PA's made at Leapforce. Based on time at Leapforce as of 1 May 2017, non-PAs are paid $12.50 (less than 2 years as of 1 May 2017) $12.75 (2-3 years as of 1 May 2017) or $13 (more than 13 years as of 1 May 2017).

It seemed like it would be cool, that Raterlabs had a better setup in terms of training and everything. All the simulators looked they they would be really helpful--immediate feedback and all that. Is raterlabs still hiring? I have applied to raterlabs and was waiting to qualify for Yukon. But now the Yukon project no longer is able to be qualified for, because they removed it from all projects.
